Jon Topolewski grew up Detroit, the son of a local engineer and union member. The rough infrastructure of city living made him all too familiar with the hardships of urban culture and the unsafe and sometimes risky environments dwellers face in city environments on a daily basis.
Over the years, Jon has developed an understanding of the economic struggles families face when a breadwinner is out of work due to injury or disability. He originally studied for a career in corporate law, but a clerkship with Ankin Law solidified his deep desire to help defenseless community members receive the social security and personal injury rewards they deserve.
As the leader of the firm’s social security disability practice, Jon is a zealous advocate for the rights of the injured and disabled representing hundreds of individuals in a variety of injury claims. His clients hail from many nationalities, cultures and backgrounds, each with their own unique needs. Whether he is advising the tragic victim of a motor vehicle accident, or a client with an emotional disability, Jon offers every Ankin client a personal approach and the tools they need to achieve justice.
In his leisure time, Jon opens his home to foster dogs rescued from the City of Chicago Animal Care and Control. He also enjoys following Detroit sports teams and DePaul Blue Demon basketball games.
